Frequently Asked Questions
Getting Started with PPP Label Finder
What is PPP Label Finder?
PPP Label Finder is a single source for UK plant protection product labels, safety data sheets and associated documents, helping agronomists, farmers, farm managers, spray operators and agricultural businesses find key product information quickly, without searching across multiple manufacturer websites, old PDFs or separate databases.
Who is PPP Label Finder for?
PPP Label Finder is designed for UK agronomists, farmers, farm managers, spray operators, agricultural businesses, compliance teams and anyone responsible for chemical store records, product checks or farm audit preparation.
Why would I use PPP Label Finder instead of searching Google?
Searching Google can bring up old labels, out of date PDFs, distributor pages, documents that must be downloaded to view or are buried deep in a website. PPP Label Finder takes the hassle out of finding the information you need, helping users locate the correct label, safety data sheets, EAMU or product document faster, all in one place and in a more structured way.
What products are included?
PPP Label Finder covers herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, plant growth regulators and adjuvants. The platform includes over 1,100 product labels and safety data sheets, with the database continuing to grow and being regularly updated.
Is PPP Label Finder only for agronomists?
No. While it is particularly useful for agronomists, it is also useful for farmers, farm managers, spray operators, compliance managers, estate managers and anyone who needs quick access to plant protection product information or shared stocktakes.
Can I use PPP Label Finder on my phone?
Yes. PPP Label Finder is available through the web app and through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
Product Search, Labels, MSDS and EAMUs
How do I search for a product?
You can search by product name, MAPP number, active ingredient, manufacturer, product type, crop or pest. This makes it easier to find the correct product without scrolling through search engine results or manufacturer websites.
Are safety data sheets included?
Yes. PPP Label Finder provides access to safety data sheets alongside product labels, helping users find agronomic and compliance documents in one place.
Are EAMUs included, and are they available on all plans?
Yes. Relevant EAMUs are displayed for applicable products, with links directly to HSE documentation where available. EAMUs are included within the Pro subscription plan.
Can PPP Label Finder help me find EAMUs faster?
Yes. By displaying relevant EAMUs against product labels and linking directly to HSE documents, PPP Label Finder reduces the need to manually search HSE pages separately.
Does PPP Label Finder include official HSE links?
Yes. Relevant EAMUs link directly to the appropriate HSE documentation where available.
Does PPP Label Finder include adjuvant information?
Yes. Adjuvants are included within the Pro subscription plan.
Can I request a missing product label?
Yes. Users can request new product labels through the app if a product is missing or if a document needs to be reviewed.
How often are product labels and database records updated?
PPP Label Finder regularly updates its label database to reflect new product releases, label revisions and regulatory changes. The Stock Management tool uses the HSE Pesticide Register which is updated daily, along with any EAMU information detailed.
Stock Management and Collaboration
What is the Stock Management tool?
The Stock Management tool helps users create and manage chemical stocktakes by selecting products from the HSE Pesticide Register, recording quantities and generating PDF reports.
Who is the Stock Management tool for?
It is useful for farmers, farm managers, spray operators, agronomists, compliance teams and anyone responsible for chemical store records.
How does the Stock Management tool save time?
It removes the need to manually write down or type out product names, search for approval details, check product status separately or create stocktake reports from scratch.
Can the Stock Management tool help reduce paperwork?
Yes. By allowing product selection, quantity entry, collaboration and PDF reporting in one place, it reduces the need for manual spreadsheets and separate document searches
Is this better than using a spreadsheet?
For many users, yes. A spreadsheet may record quantities, but PPP Label Finder also links products to structured product information, expiry dates, withdrawn/revoked status and PDF reporting.
Can the Stock Management tool help with audits?
Yes. It helps keep chemical inventory information organised, up to date and easier to present when required.
Does the stocktake produced show product expiry dates?
Yes. Each product displays its expiry date within the app when creating the stocktake and on the stocktake report itself.
Does the stocktake produced show withdrawn or revoked products?
Yes. Each product highlights if it has been withdrawn or revoked within the app when creating the stocktake and on the stocktake report itself, helping users identify potential compliance issues within the chemical store.
Can I collaborate on stocktakes?
Yes. Users can invite other users to collaborate on stocktakes, making it easier for farm managers, spray operators, agronomists or office teams to work from the same record.
Why would I invite another user to a stocktake?
Collaboration is useful when multiple people are involved in managing chemical stock, such as a farm manager, sprayer operator, agronomist or office administrator.
Can I export or email a stocktake as a PDF?
Yes. Completed stocktakes can be shared via email in PDF form, helping users keep a professional record for internal use or inspection preparation.
Can I use the Stock Management tool without the label search features?
Yes. A separate Stocktakes plan is available for users who specifically need the stock management workflow.
Ask AI
What is Ask AI?
Ask AI is a feature that allows users to query product labels for information such as water volumes, buffer zones, maximum dose rates, crop restrictions and harvest intervals. Any information detailed on the label can be questioned, however, you should always check the label to confirm this information is correct.
What can I ask the AI label chatbot?
You can ask questions about information contained within the product label, such as application rates, buffer zones, water volumes, timing restrictions, harvest intervals, crop approvals and other label-specific details.
Why is Ask AI useful?
Ask AI saves time by helping users locate specific information within long product labels. Instead of manually scrolling through a PDF, users can ask a direct question and use the response to find the relevant label information faster.
Can Ask AI reduce misinterpretation?
Ask AI can reduce the time spent manually searching long labels and can help users identify relevant sections more quickly. However, users should still check the original label before acting on the information.
Can I ask Ask AI about tank mixes?
Only if the relevant information is present in the label being queried. Tank mix decisions should always be checked against the label, manufacturer guidance and professional agronomic judgement.
Can I ask Ask AI about LERAP and buffer zones?
Yes. Ask AI can help users find LERAP and buffer zone information where this is present on the product label.
Can Ask AI tell me whether a product is safe to use?
Ask AI can help identify label information, but it should not replace the user’s legal responsibility to read the product label, follow statutory requirements and apply professional judgement.
Can Ask AI be wrong?
Any AI-generated response should be treated as a support tool, not the final authority. Users should always check the original label or official documentation before making product-use decisions.
Can Ask AI replace reading the product label?
No. Ask AI is a support tool designed to help users find relevant information faster. Users should always verify important information against the official product label or source document before making product-use decisions.
How should I use Ask AI safely?
Use Ask AI to quickly locate information, then verify the answer against the original label or official document before acting on it.

Can Audit Assist save time before an inspection?
Yes. Audit Assist is designed to create an organised audit pack quickly and avoid hours of manual admin.
Can Audit Assist reduce compliance risk?
Yes. Audit Assist helps reduce compliance risk by bringing required documents together in one structured report.

Does Audit Assist guarantee I will pass an audit?
No. Audit Assist helps prepare documentation, but it cannot guarantee the outcome of an audit or inspection. Users remain responsible for ensuring their chemical store, records and practices meet relevant requirements.
Can I use Audit Assist for multiple farms?
Yes, but each report should be generated with the correct farm details and products for that specific business or site.
Can I create an Audit Assist report for a client?
Yes, provided you have the correct product information and permission to prepare the report for that client.
Can I edit an Audit Assist report after generation?
No. Once the report has been paid for and generated it cannot be edited. Please ensure all products selected and details are correct before submitting. If you encounter any issues after creation, please email info@ppplabelfinder.co.uk for assistance.
